At modern open pits and underground ore mines the application of blasting depending on the parameters of drilling and blasting operations leads to the production of oversize rocks on average more than 3%, sometimes reaching 25- 30% of the mining volume. At present time nearly 90% of the oversized lumps of rocks is broken using the explosion methods which have a number of significant disadvantages reducing the technical and economic indicators of the companies.
