To test the role of intraoperative flowmetry in aneurysm surgery, a multicentric experience was evaluated. We measured cerebral blood flow values before and after clipping in the vessels considered at risk for occlusive complication during surgical aneurysm repair in 75 patients. Flowmetry-assisted clipping resulted in a safer aneurysm exclusion with a 27% of flow-guided clip repositioning. The technique is safe, fast and easy to repeat.
