Aiming at the problem occurring in practical engineerings, the squeezing effects of jacked piles in layered ground were studied by different methods(in-situ test, mode test and FEM simulation) in different soil distrubition conditions(crust layer, harder interlayer). It was observed that the comparatively harder soil would be pushed into the softer soil and the soil’s displacement increased and radial compress stress changed rapidly and discontinued at the boundary of the soft soil and the comparatively harder soil. The data of the above works were analyzed and compared with each other, and it was concluded that the stress discontinuity made the piles driven before bend or broken there. So it should be paid more attentions to the penetration of jacked pile in layered ground.
