The present work deals with the study of flow over a prismatic building by the method of Large Eddy Simulation (LES). A code is developed for the study. The basis of the numerical solution is unsteady Navier-Stokes equations. First of all the validation of the code is done against the problems of flow in a driven square cavity and flow past a rearward-facing step. The mean velocity vector plots and the surface pressure coefficient distributions (Cp) for a prismatic building are given as the results of the study. The vortex shedding phenomenon for a single building and two buildings in tandem is the prime area of interest in the flow analysis. In addition to see what happens to the shedding of vortices in the flow downstream of the flow domain an attempt is also made to analyze both stream lines and iso-vorticity plots. The data of surface pressure distributions are compared with experimental values for the same building.
