摘要

A new sandwich model with support for asymmetric laminates and an orthotropic core is presented. The work is intended to increase the possibility of predicting the acoustic and structural dynamic properties of sandwich composite plates; i.e. eigenfrequencies, dynamic bending stiffnesses and so on. The model has been derived using Hamilton' principle. The laminates are treated as thin beams subject to pure bending, while the effects of shear and lateral compression are included in the representation of the core.
