摘要

Monitoring of rotating machinery is becoming an essential branch of industry. There are different techniques, among them; the most important one is vibration analysis. In this paper, the Discrete Wigner Distribution is formulated for fault diagnosis of machinery. Using this formulation, a machine vibration signal is analyzed to demonstrate its power. This method permits to the user to have both time and frequency domain signal in a unit graph. This will help for a better diagnosis of the system. This paper also compares the results of the Wigner distribution and the FFT method.
