摘要

The soild state reduction of Fe_2O_3 (hematite) by ball-milling with Al or Mg was studied by XRD, TEM and Mossbaurer spectroscopy. Iron oxide ( #alpha# -Fe_2O_3:hematite) powder and aluminum (Al) or magnesium (Mg) powder were charged into a container for ball-milling with stainless stell balls. Milling was interrupted to take samples for a nalysis. Charging and removal of the samples ere done in a high purity argon atmosphere. A planetary ball-milling machine w as used. In the case of Fe_2O_3/Al, the Bragg peaks of #alpha# -Fe(110), (200) and (211) appeared in the XRD pattern at 1.8 ks of milling.
