摘要

The paper presents a study of optimization of adaptive mesh refinement during finite element analysis of sheet forming operations. Influence of mesh refinement strategy and accuracy limit on performance on adaptive procedure have been studied by simulating the sheet stretching operation. The ZZ error estimator based upon a least square fitting of stress or velocity by higher order polynomial has been employed. The adaptively refined meshes for an illustrative example with different refinement strategies and accuracy limits are presented.
