Layered LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 compounds were prepared with LiOH丒H2O, Ni(AC)2丒4H2O, Co(AC)2丒4H2O, Mn(AC)2丒4H2O as raw materials at various temperatures by one pot method using the molten salt (KCl) in air. The SEM images show that the synthesized particals have spherical morphology and the size gradually increases with increasing calcination temperature. The XRD analyses indicate that the LiNi1/3Co1/3Mn1/3O2 materials were of typical 兛-NaFeO2 structure. Moreover, the study indicates that 850.C for 10 h in KCl (R=6:1) is the best calcination condition. When it was discharged between 4.5 and 2.75V at 120mAg.1, the initial specific capacity was 161.1mAhg-1.After 30 cycles, it has the discharge capacity of 138.5mAhg-1.
