Comparison of methods for determining grain moisture content

摘要

Several methods of determining grain moisture -- traditional oven drying, near infrared transmission (NIT) and capacitance -- are compared. It is shown that the NIT method could replace the traditional drying method to determine the grain moisture under certain conditions. The NIT equipment can be used simply and rapidly. Applying this technology could save more time and labour during harvest and grain trading.
