Clocked Quantum-dot Cellular Automata circuits

摘要

We present an experimental demonstration of clocked Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) circuits, where information is represented by spatial configurations of single electrons within geometrical arrangements of submi-cron-sized metal dots. We demonstrate the functional operation of these circuits and use a two-stage shift register to mimic the operation a multi-stage shift register.
