Graduate School of Engineering of Osaka City University moved education and research focus from undergraduate course to graduate course as other Japanese national universities at April 2001. Due to the change, every laboratory in the school became to be in charge of special exercise in graduate course. The graphic science laboratory to which authors belong started teaching the exercise for graduate students, though the laboratory was mainly teaching graphic science education which categorized as a general education subjects in undergraduate course till then. We started an exercise subject for town planning with residents by teaching how to set up rules for town landscape and their rendering images. In the subject, we were considering practical application of knowledge and technique learned in graphic science education and restoration of the benefit by them to society. In the subject, various rules of town landscape were proposed and their rendering images were developed. And making use of them, the direction of future landscape design was discussed actively in the local community development council. In this paper, we introduce content and outcome of the subject and reaction by local community development council in order to show the possibility of graphic science education in graduate course.
