The cultural and technical development of Third World Countries, depends on the availability and the independence of energy. A suitable and rapid solution consists in the exploitation of solar energy which they have at their disposals. But this energy is variable and its regulation is necessary. Hydrogen may constitute a very good solution; however, it presents storage difficulties such as safety and economy when the hydrogen is stored under gas form. An attractive solution may be to store hydrogen as a liquid hydrocarbure, like a cyclohexane, which can be recuperated where need be, that is to say to study a dehydrogenation reactor-mercury heat pipe assembly, indicate the feasibility of the such system as a hydrogen liberation process.
