IDENTIFIABILITY OF AN EXTENDED HIV MODEL

All 15 parameters for an extended HIV/AIDS model can be simultaneously estimated using nonlinear systems identifiability concepts. It is possible to do such an extensive parameter estimation from clinical measurements taken over a short period of time. This paper presents in detail, the identifiability properties of an extended / compartmental HIV/AIDS model. The issues addressed are the minimal number of measurements of the variables for a complete determination of all parameters and conditions under which such parameter determination is possible.
