Stenting in Multi-Vessel Disease. Angiographic Outcome in the GABI II Study and Comparison with Results of the GABI I Trial

The prospective multi-center study (GABI II) investigated immediate and long-term results of multi-vessel coronary intervention using stents. Comparison of results of the angiographic analysis of this study with results of the GABI trial proved superiority of immediate results with the use of stents; however, although stenting improved the restenosis rates in multi-vessel intervention, angiographic long-term results were comparable to those of the GABI trial.
