Anode slime is one of the main sources of cathode copper contamination. The physical-chemical properties of the slimes are very important. Within this work we determined the density, dispersivity, chemical and phase compositions of the anode slimes formed in the cells from anodes with different compositions. It is stated that slime dispersivity depends on the anode composition and the character of the anode dissolution. The estimated slimes fractal properties allow us to suggest that slime particles are formed in accordance with the mechanism of cluster-cluster aggregation. The chemical and phase analyses showed that the slime fractions are heterogeneous.
