The test process of active electromagnetic (EM) armor is a high voltage, large current discharging process. The projectile interceptor produces an intensive non-uniform transient EM field in which the intercepting plate induces an eddy current and an accelerating force is produced. The plate is ejected out. This paper introduces the measuring principle of the non-uniform transient magnetic field produced during the launching process of active EM armor projectile interceptor, the system components and the results of measurements.
