We propose the technique of compaction network in this paper. The compaction network outputs feed a feedback-free MISR, whose single output only needs one tester channel to monitor. The compaction ratio has reached maximum bound since only one output is needed. Different with previous design, we consider the compaction network and MISR as a whole in aliasing, diagnosis, X-bit response handling. Some design rules are derived in order to benefit from aliasing-resistance, diagnostic, X-bit handling capabilities. Deterministic algorithms that allow automated design of compaction network is presented. Some analysis and results of design case about our network are discussed.
