The use of the CuZrO2 mixed oxide for the decomposition of NOX was investigated. X-ray Diffraction in situ was used to prove the formation of a CuZrO2 solid solution. Programmed Temperature Reduction revealed ihe presence of two segregated phases in the mixed oxide. The specific surface area of the mixed oxide was higher than the isolated CuO or ZrC>2 samples. Temperature Programmed Desortpion showed NO decomposition ;it room temperature and during NO adsorption. Stable CuZrO2 revealed to he promising for the decomposition of NOX.
