The catalytic behaviour of l%Rh/CeosZro502 was investigated in ethanol steam reforming and in CO-CO2-CH4 interconversion reactions,. This catalyst is very active in steam reforming with, however, significant methane formation, which tends to reduce H2 production,. It was shown that the catalyst favoured CH4 formation through CO hydrogenation, but direct hydrogenation of CO2 was not observed. In parallel, the catalyst is active in the Reverse Water Gas Shift (RWGS) reaction of CO2 with H2 leading to CO and H2O Virtually no methane was formed in this reaction.
