A catalyst which can efficiently decompose N2O in flue gas from biosludge of waste-water treatment at low temperatures was studied, Although some catalysts have high activity for N2O decomposition under the conditions of EbO-and/or 02-free, the decomposition of N2O in flue gas on these catalysts is suppressed by the presence of H2O and/or O2. In order to remove or reduce the suppression by H2O and/or O2, platinum-group metals supported on the nanoporous composites were studied. The reaction conditions associated with the research were investigated from the viewpoint of redox controlled by reducing additives.
