In this investigation different cathode materials were studied using impedance spectroscopy of symmetric cells and Ⅰ-Ⅴ characteristics of anode supported fuel cells. Cathode materials studied included La_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_3 (LSCF), La_(0.7)Sr_(0.2)MnO_3 (LSM), Pr_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_3 (PSCF), Sm_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_3 (SSCF), and Yb_(0.8)Sr_(0.2)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_3 (YSCF). A new technique for filtering the Fourier transform of impedance data is discussed.
