Furthering the Science-ASTM International

The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International is a voluntary consensus standards organization that develops standard methods, practices, and guides in a wide array of areas. Most of the standard development activities occur within a committee structure, each having a defined jurisdiction. Two ASTM International committees develop standards with application to Plutonium materials. These two committees are the Nuclear Fuel Cycle committee and Nuclear Technology and Applications committee.
