ADO.NET Enables Process Control Integration with S88

摘要

Apply Microsoft ADO.NET Technology to enable real-time process control integration with batch management systems. This paper provides a brief overview of Microsoft's ADO.NET technology, OPC and S88 Batch Management as well as S95. Methods for exposing S88 Batch models and linking with S95 interfaces via ADO.NET are described. Also covered are techniques for integrating OPC Data Access data with an S88 batch plant model using ADO.NET DataSets. An example of batch data visualization using .NET WinForms is described. Development productivity benefits of using this technology are elaborated.
