PRODUCTIVITY AND COMPETITIVENESS IMPROVEMENT IN MANUFACTURING

摘要

Productivity and quality are the most critical factors of the manufacturing company competitiveness. This article is focused in analysis, evaluation, planning and improvement of the total productivity as a basis for manufacturing company competitiveness improvement. It contains both the results from theoretical research as well as results of industrial projects realize d by research Centers in Zilina and Bielsko-Biala. The article is based on a special procedure for quick productivity audit and more detailed operational audit, which are based on the financial and operational analysis, and benchmarking developed by the Slovak Productivity Center. The results from operational audit are the basis for Productivity Improvement Program formulation and planning.
