In this paper, we construct a stochastic model to decide the selection policy in choosing order to be processed and its corresponding system configuration in a reconfigurable manufacturing system (RMS). For the proposed model, we conduct numerical examples and simulations to explain the performance of our proposed method under the small and large scale model. Then, a comparison with the previous method was conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The results showed that using the proposed method in a balance environment reach better results compared with the previous method.
