摘要

A study of the nonlinear static response and stability of transversely isotropic, perfectly electro-conductive circular cylindrical shells immersed in applied magnetic and thermal fields is presented. In this context, a geometrically nonlinear shearable shell model featuring small strains and moderately small rotations is adopted and the extended Galerkin's method (EGM) is used to construct the approximate solution. The significance of the applied magnetic fields on the response is investigated.
