摘要

The Propulsion Environmental Working Group (PEWG) was chartered in 1991 to promote and coordinate propulsion community joint efforts to respond to shared environmental security concerns. The Group now serves as the Hazardous Material Management Subcommittee of the DoD Joint Propulsion Coordinating Committee (JPCC). The PEWG enlists efforts of military organizations and industrial concerns. Military members include acquisition and logistics representatives of Air Force and Army Materiel Commands, and Naval Air and Sea Systems Commands. Industry members include environmental executives and material process engineers from major engine manufacturers (General Electric Aircraft Engines, Pratt & Whitney (US and Canada), and Rolls-Royce Corporation) and their major vendors. The PEWG also establishes working relationships with military and commercial defense entities that share propulsion community interests.
