Electric Generator Technology and Economics under A Carbon Restriction

摘要

This paper examines a simulation of the electric sector emissions and fuel use under a combined price (carbon charge) and energy-efficiency program package. Small positive effects on the economy are obtained due to energy-efficiency investments earning an above average rate of return, even taking into account the government spending needed to implement and administer the programs.
