An XML Schema for Hydraulic Manifold Systems

摘要

The design, development and manufacturing of hydraulic machinery are managed with CAD/CAM/CAE systems. All these systems are generally very heterogeneous. In order to have quick turnarounds and low cost of design, companies have to work in a concurrent engineering environment. The XML schema proposed by VEST can be used to communicate hydraulics data between various such heterogeneous systems. The XML format is a lightweight web based communication format. Hydraulic systems design and manufacturing organizations can use this format to build a bridge between various applications to achieve the objective of concurrent engineering. This paper discusses a format and shows how various heterogeneous systems access data to attain the objective of concurrent engineering.
