The suction and pumping volumetric uniformity in the Vane-In-Groove pumps is a strong reason for the hope to achieve a real pulseless outgoing flow. The main problem to be solved is the compressibility of the working fluid. Due to the constant cross-section of the rotor groove forming the working chamber in the Vane-In-Groove pumps a zone of "uniform-transfer" of the fluid portions can be made lengthy. Conventional means for compensation of the fluid compressibility during the transfer are well known and usually comprise little channels connecting a pumping area and a transfer area. However, remaining pressure pulsations are still significant. A new type of the active adaptive means presented in this paper can operate via different kinds of feedback to adjust the pressure in the transfer zone. If the feedback follows the amplitude and phase of the pumping flow pulsations, the fluid compression pulsations can be annihilated. This makes it possible to achieve an almost "ideal pulseless" pumping flow.
