LANDMINE DETECTING 8-LEGGED ROBOT

People dieing or getting injured by landmines is being an international problem. This research's main purpose is about detecting landmines safely. There are many people injured by landmines all over the world, and it is still increasing continuously. This research's target "efficient landmine detecting" is to guarantee the safety of detecting landmine". Therefore our robot's element is divided into a locomotion mechanism and a detecting mechanism. We considered about the robot's locomotion mechanism first. We chose the walking mechanism as this robot's locomotion mechanism. First we assembled one leg, and studied the structure operation of that single leg. Later, we made eight identical legs and installed in the robot frame. The robot is completed, the results of the experiment are not satisfying, and therefore further experiments are expected. Detecting mechanism is not yet accomplished, but it's under consideration.
