摘要

To replace autograft, allograft and xenograft in burn wound application, the bioengineered skin substitute plays the potential role in wound management technologies. Most of bioengineered skin substitutes consist of matrix containing autologous or allogeneic cells. Various clinical trials, not only burn wounds but also chronic wounds as diabetic foot ulcers and venous ulcers supporting the use of skin substitutes. However, a high cost of these products is still a problematic utilization in developing and under developed countries.
