摘要

Insulin association with chitosan nanoparticles at pH 5.3 was 50% that at pH 6.1. Association at pH 5.3 was attributed to ionic interactions, while that at pH 6.1 was due to physical adsorption. Different mechanisms of association affected insulin recovery and degradation, and the in vivo efficacy of the nanoparticles.
