摘要

The state of art is presented for the flow and heat characteristics of rock beds at low temperature sensible thermal heat storage. Various parameters that may influence are considered to estimate a pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient in rock beds. Relative position of rock particles in bed void fraction, wall effect and by pass factors is mainly studied for their influence on pressure drop in rock bed. Study shows that above mention two characteristics play a vital role in determining the performance of storage system.
