Delivering service solutions by coupling multiple technologies affords opportunities for higher revenues over deployed networks. MSPPs provide the capability to fully deliver a cost-effective multi-protocol network, opening up greater network profitability and cost savings. Upgrading an MSPP network element to support PCA is typically a remote, in-service upgrade, which saves on the traditional costs associated with deploying technicians from remote facilities. Additionally, MSPP networks deployed today, whether OC-12, OC-48 or OC-192 based, are positioned to take advantage of the described PCA benefits.
