REDUCING COUPLING LOSS AND RIPPLES FOR POLARIZATION BEAM COMBINERS

PBCs (Polarization beam combiners) have many applications, such as polarization multiplexing/demultiplexing, optical interference, and optical depolarization. Efforts have been made in our laboratory to reduce the coupling loss and its ripple verses wavelength. Theoretical modeling and experiments have been conducted to study the key factors in order to produce high performance optical PBCs.
