SEROEPIDEMIOLOGIC EVALUATION OF LAWSONIAINTRACELLULARIS IN SWINE FARMS IN SPAIN

摘要

Proliferative Porcine Enteritis (Ileitis) is an enteric disease caused by the obligate intracelular bacterium Lawsonia Intracellularis. This disease causes low daily gains, hemorragic diarrhea or sudden death in growing pigs, replacement gilts and first parity sows. The objective of this study is to show the difference of seroprevalence to Lawsonia Intracellularis in two consecutive years.
