EFFICACY OF APRALAN~R IN PIG STARTER FEED FOR THE CONTROL OF COLIBACILLOSIS

Postweaning colibacilosis is common in modern confinement pig farms: however, this condition has not experimentally produced with any consistency, control of colibacillosis is possible through a series of measure among which an antibiotic prophylaxisis often a very important tool to fight this pathogen (1,2). The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of different levels of Apralan~R (apramycin premix, Elanco A/H) in feed for the prevention of naturally occurring colibacillosis (3, 4).
