Selected problems and FEM modeling of composites cutting using water jet and abrasive water jet

摘要

Due to the fact of specific material properties of fibre reinforced composites they need special tools for machining. The fast ideal tools for this application are water jet and abrasive water jet. Fast ideal because there are not critical heat or loading, but also there can cause some problems like delamination or edge chipping. In the second part of article presented are three proposition of nonlinear dynamic model of waterjet cutting and abrasive water jet cutting of inhomogeneous materials. In the last part of this study is made discussion analysis receiving the results of simulation of machining.
