Electrochemical Noise Analysis (ECA) has been performed on zinc-rich paints (ZRP) in 0.5N NaCl solution. Results show that the cathodic protection period of this kind of paints is very short. Most of its protection effectiveness is due to the barrier effect acquired after a few days of exposure. Statistical and fractal analysis of time records have been performed to evaluate the degree of goodness of each analytical method to evaluate time records. Fractal analysis shows a better description of the paint behavior than spectral analysis.
