Corrosion current measurement in reinforced concrete using voltage pulses

This paper presents the use of voltage pulse responses from reinforced concrete samples to construct Tafel plots and obtain corrosion current values through extrapolation. The characteristics of pulse responses where significant diffusion effects occur are noted, and these points are not included in the extrapolated regions. Pulse responses from active and passive reinforcements are found to have very different shapes.
