摘要

Due to magnesium's active chemical property and difficulty to direct painting, a new enviromental protective water based metallic coating was developed, which contains metal powder, silane, corrosion inhibitor and silicate. The coating's properties were investigated by neutral salt spray test, 3.5%wt NaCl solution immersion test and adhension test. Results showed that the painting can achieve good adhesion and excellent protective ability for magnesium alloy. It is also indicated that the inhibitor sodium polyphosphate can improve the protection performance of coating. The inhibition efficiency of magnesium alloy in 3.5%wt NaCl solution was measured by gas collection method and the inhibition mechanism was studied by electrochemical approach, scanning electron microscopy.
