摘要

The increase of single channel modulation velocity, in optical transmission systems, leads to face propagation effects negligible at lower bit rates. The influence of fiber nonlinearity on ultra short propagation into Erbium Dobed Fiber Amplifiers (EDFAs) begins to be impactive. In this paper we analyze the relationship between the nonlinear doped fiber coefficient and the population inversion. We show that as the pulse becomes shorter and powerful, the shape distortion increase. For a 4ps pulse with an input mean power of -20 dBm an error of more than 15% has been calculated.
