摘要

The paper describes the processes affecting the operation stability of ESMA capacitors at the temperatures of approx. 65°C and average power of 200 W/kg. The paper proves that the duration of the maintenance-free operation at high temperature is determined by a side reaction of oxygen gassing in the positive electrode and rate of oxygen loss by the capacitor. It is established that long maintenance-free operation is achieved at appropriate oxygen cycle selection. The oxygen cycle is ensured by the correct choice of capillary and hydrodynamic properties of separator and negative electrode.
