摘要

This paper is devoted to a feasibility study of Continuous Phase Modulation (CPM) for transmission Systems with high bandwidth efficiency. The goal of this investigation is to determine how much the performance of the CPM suffers from high bandwidth efficiency (up to 4.5 b/s/Hz). The analysis is based on the exact numerical calculation of the Power Spectral Density and on upper bounds of distances. An optimal receiver is assumed (for Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel). The Computer simulation results evaluate the performance of the CPM system with suggested parameters under certain conditions.
