摘要

Although it is generally believed that hydrogen properties of materials such as capacity, absorption/desorption pressure and rate are solely determined by the chemistry of materials, our recent results indicates that these hydrogen properties of many intermetallic compounds are sometimes strongly influenced by the existence of lattice defects and microstructures. Some examples we recently obtained are reviewed and implications will be made on the possibility to improve the hydrogen properties by controlling defect arrangements and alloy microstructures.
