摘要

The transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is can be employed as a tool in psychiatric treatment, especially in treating endogenous deep depression. The key-point in the stimulation process is to ensure that the effect evoked in the brain will be such as it is expected from therapeutical point of view. To avoid the experiments, the attempts have been made to employ the numerical modelling in order to evaluate the current that flows throughout the brain tissues and to predict the system parameters. The electric stimulation of the brain which is currently widely applied therapeutic technique is assumed to be a basis for calculation of the proper current distribution. The paper focuses on the numerical model used in computation and visualization techniques which allow effective validation of the results of computations.
