Hybrid Aligned Nematic Liquid Crystal Display Driven by Fringe Electric Field with Low Driving Voltage and Fast Response Time

摘要

We have fabricated hybrid aligned nematic liquid crystal cell driven by fringe electric field using the LC with positive dielectric anisotropy unlike previous cell using a LC with negative dielectric anisotropy. The new device shows improved response time and low driving voltage with high light efficiency.
