This paper presents a one-dimensional viscous-inviscid strong interaction boundary layer model for the computation of steady incompressible flow through a channel with a throat. Results for Reynolds numbers ranging from 1000-2000 and for various indentations show that with this model separation regions can be easily and accurately computed. An important advantage over existing one-dimensional models by Cancelli and Pedley [1] and Ikeda and Matsuzaki [2]. At present our model is being extended for the computation of flow in collapsible tubes.
